Holiday Walk

Celebrate Santa's arrival in Downtown Kirkwood!

There will be fun for the entire family at Downtown Kirkwood’s Holiday Walk in downtown Kirkwood Saturday, November 18. Beginning at 8:40 a.m., holiday shopping, free entertainment, and refreshments will make this day a festive way to begin your celebration of the holiday season.

The Kirkwood Train Station, 110 E. Argonne, is the headquarters for fun. Santa Claus will arrive in downtown Kirkwood at 8:40 a.m. After his grand entrance, Santa will pose for photos outside of the train station from 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Mrs. Claus will join him and tell stories and sing with the children from 9 a.m.-noon. Be sure to bring your camera to snap a photo for your Christmas cards! Kirkwood United Methodist Church will be making reindeer food with kids from 9 a.m.-noon.  Adults will enjoy shopping for holiday gifts offered by Downtown Kirkwood’s unique specialty stores—many of which will feature sales and special offers. The Lucille Rapp Tumblers and Dancers will perform at 1 p.m.

During the Downtown Kirkwood Holiday Walk, Youth in Action (YIA) a nonprofit community service organization, will be collecting cash donations for Make-A-Wish at the train station. While they last, delicious cookies from Pioneer Bakery and Cafe will be available.

The Holiday Walk is coordinated by Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District. The downtown Kirkwood organization serves businesses and property owners in downtown Kirkwood through marketing, public area enhancements, and administration of the Kirkwood Farmers’ Market.
