May 19 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Event activities include free flowers, gardening advice, an art show, live music, cooking demonstrations and food samples at Kirkwood Farmers' Market.pic_flowers.jpg

During the festival, there will be a variety of food and flowers throughout the area. Numerous businesses participating in historic Downtown Kirkwood's Annual Festival of Food & Flowers will give 6-packs of annual flowers (while supplies last) to customers spending five-dollars or more. In addition to the annual flower gift-with-purchase, participating businesses will also serve refreshments, offer discounts on selected merchandise or offer other in-store specials or demonstrations.

Kirkwood Farmers' Market will feature hundreds of flowering plants, locally grown produce, cheese, delicious treats, barbeque, Philippine cuisine and more. Visitors can also enjoy delicious fare from the collection of unique restaurants and specialty food merchants located throughout downtown Kirkwood.

pic_flower_give_away.jpgA Plant Sale will be located at the historic Kirkwood Train Station. Local gardening experts from Kirkwood Garden Club will be on hand to sell their plants and answer your gardening questions.

During the festival, numerous artists will show and sell their work at Artists in Bloom on the public plaza at Kirkwood Station Plaza from 10 a.m. to 5 pm. You can preview the artists' work on the Meet the Artists webpage on the Downtown Kirkwood website.

Don't miss live music from the Maple Jam Band and the YoAngelos from the performance platform at Station Plaza and a performance by the Lucille Rapp Dancers at 1:00 p.m. Representatives from The Magic House will be on the plaza from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help children of all ages make "fun glasses."

The Festival of Food & Flowers is coordinated by Downtown Kirkwood Special Business District. The Downtown Kirkwood organization serves businesses and property owners in Downtown Kirkwood through marketing, public area enhancements and administration of Kirkwood Farmers' Market.
