October 16th through October 19th
The City of Kirkwood is moving forward with the development of a Downtown Master Plan and Parking Study. Downtown Kirkwood includes the central business district and residential areas. The process to develop a Master Plan will kick off in October with a three-day Design Charrette, or workshop, and the public is invited to participate.
The City recently adopted a Comprehensive Plan, EnVision Kirkwood 2035, with both residents and the business community involved with its development. Building on that community participation, the Design Charrette will involve formal presentations and a drop-in design studio, during which the public can view and provide input on concepts and maps that the design team is creating. Feedback from residents and the community is crucial to making the Downtown Master Plan a success and ensuring the continued success of the Downtown Kirkwood area.
The Design Charrette will be held in the upper Council Chambers at Kirkwood City Hall, 139 S. Kirkwood Road. The public is invited to participate.
